How To Create A Hotline Message Node

In this video, we will show you how to create a hotline message node.

Hello everybody, welcome back to Alert Find Nuggets. Today’s nugget is how to create a Hotline Message Node.

Message nodes form the basic navigation structure for most Hotlines and can include text or audio announcements and other sub-options.

To create a Hotline message node, pick the Hotline you want to add the MESSAGE node to by selecting one of them and click on the Edit button, and from the drop-down menu click “edit hotline details”. The hotline editor will appear.

To add a new message node to the hotline drag  “new message” from the left column into the hotline tree in the right column. The hotline option editor will appear. Use this editor to set up the options for this node. 

In the message name field type the text you want the TTS engine to read when caller access this node. Please type the message you want callers to hear immediately after the number. For this nugget, we are going to type “if you need further assistance from IT department”.

In the message section you have the following 3 options: you can type a message for the alertfind TTS engine to read, you can click call to record and type the phone number, here alertfind will call you to obtain the message, or you can click on upload audio to upload an audio file. 

For this demo, we will type the following: Please log in into IT Support Portal and open an incident ticket. One of our IT executives will contact you ASAP.

And click save.
