Hello everybody and welcome to today’s video.
In this video, we will be explaining the differences between the New User Interface, and the legacy interface of AlertFind.
The screen that we are seeing, is the New User Interface. As you can notice, we have revamped the Interface, with new colors and the way in which we display the information. Also, some buttons have changed placement.
Let’s take a look at the different changes one by one.
The Team button, that you can see here, on the upper right side, it will let you know which team you are working in. As you can see, I am working on team called Global. If I want to go ahead and change from one team to another, I will click on the drop-down menu, and I will get a list of all the teams I have available, and I can choose another team, if I would like to.
In the old User interface, you had to go to Administration, click on Teams, and then choose the Team that you wanted to go to.
The Navigation bar has collapsable sections that you can close, on the left side.
In the Launch Center, you have the AlertConsole and Compose/Advanced that you had in the Legacy Interface. The Responses and Teams, allow you to navigate to these sections directly from here.
If we look at the AlertConsole itself, you can see that it remains exactly the same as in the Legacy Interface.
Compose/Advanced - Most of the changes are cosmetic, like the color scheme and the way the information is displayed. There is one major change, and that is when you click on Select Recipient. In the Legacy interface, you were able to drag and drop users, or select multiple users, and click on the button Add Selected to add the selection of users to the distribution list. In the New User Interface, you would need to add them using the + sign found to the right of each name.
All of the other options in this section remain absolutely the same.
One minor change is the positioning of the Template choosing button for the responses. This button has been moved here, on the right, in the Responses section. This is where you will choose the type of response that you would like to have on the notification that you are sending.
Let’s take a look at the Notification Section. As you can see, you have the exact same buttons, but with a new color scheme, and a reorganization of the information on the screen.
The same is valid for Scheduled and Archived Notifications sections.
That is also true for the Notification templates. As you can see, all of the changes are mainly color scheme changes. All the functionality and process of creating or editing a template, remains exactly the same as the Legacy interface.
For the Groups, we have the exact same groups, and exactly the same buttons. The only difference here is where we add group members. Again, we do not have the drag and drop function, and we do have to click on the + sign to add them. To remove a user, you would need to click on the - red sign. You can select multiple users, by pressing control and selecting them, and then you can add or remove them.
On the Reports section, everything is exactly the same. We have changed the color scheme, and the way the information is displayed. In the Devices Report, you now can click on the drop-down, to choose the report. As you can see, the reports are exactly the same as in the Legacy Interface.
We have only changed the way that the table looks when you generate the report. You can click on the + sign of the user that you want to see, and you can see all of the information for that specific user, and you can collapse the information, by clicking on the _ sign.
Instead of having the download button on the lower right, we now have the Download button up here, next to the report that you would like to do.
The functionality for devices Reports is exactly the same.
For Report Lists, we have exactly the same reports as the Legacy Interface, with the same names. Only the look and feel have changed.
The report creation procedure is exactly the same as the one that you are used to, but, as you can see, only the look and feel of the table where you choose the parameters, has changed.
When you would run a report in the Legacy interface, you would see the current status at the bottom of the screen. Instead of that, now, in the New User interface, you can see a new tab, called “Pending and Completed Reports”, where you can see all that information, where you can choose any of the reports you have created, to download.
The My reports section will show you any of the reports that you have customized and added to My Reports.
The next section is the Administration Section.
In the Teams part, everything has remained exactly the same.
The only change is that now you need to click on the + sign to the right of the individual user that you want to add, instead of dragging and dropping the user to the team. The steps to create a new team have remained exactly the same. The only change has been done to the look and feel.
For the Users module - as you can see, we have only changed the look and feel. The one major change for the User module is the fact that this Navigation bar for the User Information is now present here, at the top, instead of it being on the left hand side panel. All the sections have the same names, and the exact same functionality.
For the Application Settings, everything is exactly the same, with changes to the look and feel, and the placement of the information in the screen. The Data Management section has a slight change and that is that you are able to see all of the recent imports in this screen, instead of having to navigate through them using next and previous buttons.
The rest of the information in the Application Settings remains exactly the same as the Legacy interface.
The next section is SmartContact. The SmartContact section does not have any changes. Everything in SmartContact remains exactly the same as the Legacy Interface. It has the same Color Scheme, the same buttons.
That basically finishes this recording about the differences between the Legacy interface and the New User Interface.
