Hello everybody welcome back to another AlertFind Nugget, this nugget is going to show how you can send a notification using a notification template that you have already created in the web User Interface.
First thing we will need to do is navigate to the Alert Console. Once we are there we will see a list of icons that represent all of the templates that you have created in your environment or if you happen to be a team leader you will see the templates that are assigned to your team. In this particular case I am going to select the Fire Drill Template by locating the correct icon and double clicking on it.
When it loads you’ll see it’s already populate with the recipients list, subject line and content. As well as any responses that have been preconfigured. At this stage you can proceed to modify any of these fields if necessary.
If you need to add or remove recipients, click on the to field and begin to type the name of the individual user, broadcast, smart or escalation group that you wish to add and a dropdown list will display were you can choose the new recipient to be added. You can use the GPS graph located to the right of the to field do initiate the Geofence capability as well. For instance let’s say that I wish to add a user called Madalin to this notification. I would begin to type in Madalin in the to field and choose the user by clicking on his name from the list that is displayed. You can also modify the subject line as well as the content at this time.
Once you have completed all of the necessary modifications to execute the template you would proceed to click send selected notification and the system would begin sending the notification to the selected recipients.
If you have any questions regarding how to modify any of these fields please refer to our Training Session Two video were we explain in-depth how to create and send notification templates.
I hope this has been a helpful Alert Find Nugget, if you have any suggestions for other ones let us know. Have a great day.
